You might have seen her at Astoria Park enjoying a picnic, helping her landlady carry groceries, or just in the community talking to her neighbors. But wherever you may have seen Robyn Sklar, she was and still is making a difference in Astoria/LIC!
Robyn Sklar is running for City Council, district 26. As a third generation resident of Queens, Robyn is also an educator, a community organizer, and entrepreneur. Robyn made the decision to run after learning about important issues that would impact the community. Serious issues such as transportation, education, and safe energy are her focus for the campaign. Many residents are unaware that the MTA is threatening to close 13 tollbooths in Queens. This is a threat to your safety as well as your tax dollars!
If you would like to meet Robyn Sklar she will be having a Luncheon at Arham Thai (32-05 36 Ave) on Sunday, June 5th. All are welcomed to attend.
